iPhone 3G power adapters problem
Apple recalls millions of iPhone 3G power adapters after receiving reports of detached prongs involving a very small percentage of the adapters sold. No injuries have been reported.

Vodafone will sell IPhone in 10 countries
Vodafone Group Plc, the world's largest mobile-phone company, won a contract to sell Apple Inc.'s iPhone this year in 10 countries with a total population of more than 1.4 billion, including Australia, India and Italy. Vodafone will also offer the iPhone in the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey, the Newbury, England-based company said in a statement today. Milan-based Telecom Italia SpA will also sell the iPhone in Italy by the end of the year, it said in a separate statement today.

3G iPhone announce
The 3G iPhone will be announced June 9, the likely date of Apple CEO Steve Jobs' keynote at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference, analysts said in research notes on Thursday.
The 3G iPhone will be the "first of an impressive wave of new products" from Apple, wrote Citi analysts Richard Gardner and Yeechang Lee. They also expect an updated Mac laptop and iPod lines. The Apple conference is scheduled for June 9-13 in San Francisco.
In addition to Apple iPhone 3G release in early June, the 2.5G model could have a "minor casing change" and a price drop to between US$299 and $349, compared to the current $399, wrote Shaw Wu, an analyst with American Technology Research, in a research report.

iPhone battery life redialed
Apple touts some impressive specs for the battery in the iPhone—up to eight hours of talk time, 250 hours of standby time, six hours of internet use, seven hours of video playback, and a full day of audio playback. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t list the battery life for a particular situation that I run into about twice a year: battery life during periods of extended redialing.
